The Specialty Care Clinic provides specialized outpatient primary care and referrals for the HIV patient. Our care is based on the principles of confidentiality, accessibility, comprehensiveness, and health promotion and consumer satisfaction. Our goal is to empower our patients to make good decisions about their own care to promote health and well-being.
Payment for all services is on a sliding fee scale based on the patient’s income and Ryan White eligibility. Patients must provide proof of income semi-annually, and also when income and family size changes in order to maintain eligibility for Ryan White funded services. Patients will not be denied services for inability to pay. Medicare, Medicaid and some private insurance is accepted.
The Ryan White Act
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program provides HIV-related services in the United States for those who do not have sufficient health care coverage or financial resources for coping with HIV disease. The program fills gaps in care not met by other payers and works with cities, states, and local community-based organization to provide HIV-related services to more than half a million people each year.
Ryan White is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB). Federal funds are awarded to agencies located around the country, which in turn deliver care to eligible individuals under funding categories called Parts.
